Dashboard Confessional - Hands Down
It said “band”, and though a band can encompass many things, I thought these guys represented the term best, in regard to the typical artists and genres of music I listen to (which is predominantly hip-hop, rnb, pop, and rap).
Story behind this song: Heard it once, randomly on someones CD or iPod they played in my car, and I absolutely loved it. It was played on One Tree Hill (back when OTH was good) a few months later, and it made the episode that much better.
I personally prefer the acoustic version of this song.
